Viviana Haimovitz artist born in Buenos Aires city in 1953. She works in different areas of visual and fine arts. She studied with B. Bekerman and Juan Doffo. Sculpture with G. Cantilo. She took the annual photography course in the Motivarte School and also trained with the photographer Nacho Lasparra.
Her laster studies were on glass tiffany and vitrofusion in S. Monserrat`s work shop and she a ttended an annual seminar on art history with Lic. Fermin Fevre.

Since the 90’ she has been exhibiting her works in different contest and showings among then it is worth metioning Municipalidad de San Isidro, Fundación Bellini, Estimulo de Bellas Artes, Galería Legan, Palais de Glase, Centro Cultural San Martín, Planetario, Arteba 2003-2004, Biblioteca Nacional, Senado de la Nación, etc, in these place she obtained awards and special mentions. Her works are present in the various private collections in Spain, United State, Ireland, Holland, Germany, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Pakistan, Italy, Chile, Brasil, Venezuela and Mexico.

Su obra está compuesta de un diálogo entre pintura y la fotografía entablando un particular discurso personal.

Sus imágenes desenfocadas, en ocasiones brumosas, matizan la luz y el color esfumándolas de ésta manera los titula la autora: “Constelaciones” , que adquieren una mirada mágica para el espectador, que son observados desde un lugar no descriptivo volviéndose vitales y encerrando la dualidad -Vida & Percepción-  lugar desde donde abre las puertas de su imaginación buscando una armonía que logra plasrmar en juegos plásticos de máxima saturación y de desaturación.

Sus trabajos manifiestan a un estadio de conciencia interior, sutil, sensible... como dice esta artista:

“Un diálogo entre lo externo y la vinculación lo mas intimo de mi ser. Se borran las huellas referenciales y una urdimbre casi abstracta afirma la presencia de un espacio de soledad”.

Viviana Haimovitz's work suggests a dual game: either the one of the painted photography or the one of the photographed painting.
In this way the artist embraces the escencial mysteries of a rural or urban landscape. Lights and shapes out of focus, the ever-present mist and the bright enraptured colours clashing the sobriety of the backgrounds opens up a door to another dimension.

The work invites the spectator to learn to unveil the postcard-like landscape and step into a new world filled with abstractions that let us appreciate, even from photography clips taken at random, the familiar place (city and country) from a different perspective.
